Christian Aid in Ashby & District 2019

Christian Aid Week will be from 12th - 18th May this year. Those taking part in the house to house collection last year collected £6,775, some 70% of all the monies we managed to raise from this and the other events in the run up to and during Christian Aid Week. This was £751 less than in 2017 but still an excellent result, bearing in mind that the previous year’s total included one single gift-aided donation of £1,000, as a direct consequence of the visit made during the house to house collection. The £9,787 total, together with the money from the £3,133 that was gift-aided, resulted in a grand total of £10,570 raised in to help the world’s poor.

We do not have enough collectors to cover all of the newer housing developments, and additional volunteers would help us to increase the number of streets able to be covered. Also, many hands make lighter work, and there are many blessings to be had. Please help us with our efforts to help others less fortunate than us. Speak to your Christian Aid representative, or telephone Sheila Neate on 01530 414539 or Frank Bedford on 01530 467183.
