St Mary's

Our services are at the parish Church of St Mary's or at Viscount Beaumont School.

  • St Mary's is at LE67 8FB, and stands in front of Coleorton Hall. Access is via the A512 - follow the 'church only' sign. Once you leave the main road, you will see a gate to your left which is always open during service times and provides parking along the lane leading up to the lodge. The historically interesting lytch gate leads to a path up to the church.
  • Viscount Beaumont School's address is Ashby Road, Coleorton, LE67 8FD

St Mary’s is built in the gothic style, with the oldest part thought to be the 13th century tower. Inside the church there are some fine examples of Flemish Renaissance woodwork and a 15th century stained (or painted) glass window, as well as the Beaumont tombs and effigies.

We are, of course, proud of our heritage but we are also a forward-looking and ambitious congregation.  We are a close  Christian community seeking to fulfil God's mission for us in this lovely place. At  a recent meeting, a relatively new member of our church described us as 'a small congregation with a big heart' and we like to think that's true. If you attend any of our services, you can be sure of a very warm welcome-

2nd Sunday – 10:30 Morning Worship at St Mary’s
3rd Sunday -  10:30 Holy Communion at St Mary’s
